Melinda Anderson began designing and making jewelry in 2005. Her love for natural gemstones and pearls has inspired her creativity and her designs are both feminine and classic. These works of art will never go out of style and look both current and beautiful because of the quality of the stones or pearls chosen for each piece. Melinda doesn't use any leaded crystals in her jewelry, instead she uses quality semi-precious and precious gemstones and natural quartz crystals. Faceted pieces add such color, energy and sparkle that last a lifetime and will be handed down for generations. Large smooth stones are calming to wear and delightful to look at seeing the natural appeal of the stone.
The feminine nature of pearls expanded her creative process and she mixes pearls with gemstones as well as long strands of luscious pearls worn by themselves. Mother-of-pearl is also utilized for a less expensive but luminescent magical look. Women have always adorned themselves with items found in nature, from both the earth and sea, utilizing this natural beauty to enhance their own inner and outer beauty and Blingasa carries on that tradition.
The name Blingasa was born with the vision of an exotic place where women only wear jewels! The name is a playful use of the art of bling. All designs are original and handmade by Melinda. No two are alike since each stone is unique, just like you.
Wearing jewels is something most women enjoy and desire. It comes from deep within our psychie as well as from our history (herstory) from many cultures where women adorn themselves in such beauty, in reverence for the Goddess within. Melinda draws from many of these cultures to honor all woman everywhere.
